14 Gigs Across 2 Venues

Press Release - 15 January 2003

Rubberband Promotions announce 14 gigs across two venues and there are more being arranged.  Rubberband, set up in January last year, has already gained a good reputation with events at Drakes and The Rhu Bar as well as the outdoor live stage at the Extreme Festival.

Andy Stedman, co-founder of Rubberband, has decided to hang up his promoter’s hat despite the great successes achieved.  He explained, “This is the year that I want to concentrate on my musical career.”   So expect to see Andy performing with his band The Beat Collective as well as in other guises throughout this year.

Samantha Carter, the other half of Rubberband Promotions, is determined to further develop the business.  Earlier this month she invited Kevin Harrington , owner of josaka.com to join her and work together on creating the calendar of events for Rubberband.  Already they have had successful meetings with a number of people and the web site has been created (www.rubberbandpromotions.co.uk).

The objective set by Rubberband Promotions is to effectively bring together audiences, bands and venues.  All three are important and if the planning is right, good value entertainment can be provided.  Rubberband will be delivering a variety of events that build on last years successes.  Expect to see:

·        Acoustic evenings

·        Themed events

·        Bands from a variety of genres

·        Multi-band and single band nights

·        Outdoor events
